Book 5 Rumors

These were the Book V Rumors:

• Book 5, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, is due for release Saturday, June 21st, 2003 in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia.
  

• The book is 255,000 words long, 38 chapters and 768 pages (UK edition) which is a third longer than book 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (191,000 words)
  

• Order of the Phoenix is already number one! Within two hours of the release date being announced pre-orders have sent the book straight to number one of the best seller list!
  

• American bookstore Barnes and Noble has announced it will be staying open late on Friday June 20th to release OOTP at the stroke of midnight! They're offering it for the discounted price of $17.97
  

• It has been revealed that Order of the Phoenix opens with this paragraph: "The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive.....The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four. " And later on in the novel, J.K. Rowling writes: "Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. 'It is time,' he said 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'"
  

• Late last year, J.K. wrote up a card that contained 93 random words from Order of the Pheonix. This teaser was auctioned for charity and although HP Fansite The Leaky Cauldron put together a great fundraiser to purchase the card, it was bought before they even had a chance to bid. The few words that were released to the public before the card was auctioned were: Ron...broom...sacked...house-elf...new...teacher...dies...sorry

Why Harry has to go back to the Dursleys each summer (At the end of GOF, Voldemort says "Dumbledore invoked an ancient magic....even I couldn't touch the boy there")
How Lily and James knew Voldemort was after them.
If Godrics Hollows is indeed associated with Godric Gryffindor.
Who the new Gryffindor Quidditch Captain will be.
There will be a HUGE revelation about Lily Potter.

• In book five, we go into a whole new area, physically, an area you've never seen before, a magical world.
  

• Book five is scary. Harry finds out a lot of things he hasn't stumbled across so far.
  

• Book five is darker than the other books.
  

• In book five (Harry) has to examine exactly what death means, in even closer ways.
  

• The Dursleys are in the next book, and there's stuff coming with them that people might not expect.
  

• The "Arabella Figg" Dumbledore refers to at the end of book four is indeed the same Mrs. Figg that takes care of Harry for the Dursleys in book one. You'll be seeing her in book five, and you'll find out all about her.
  

• Harry will see the real 'MadEye' Moody in book five.
  

• There will be a female Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher.
  

• You see Lupin in Book Five. You will see a lot of old characters in Book Five.
  

• Ginny Weasley will play more of a role in book five.
  

• One of the main characters, one of Harrry's "fans" will die.
  

• Harry, Ron and Hermione are due to take their O.W.L.s
  

• We will see some places that have only been mentioned in previous books.
