Dumbledore's Army
(An Overview)
Hermione had the idea that it might be good if people who wanted to study
Defense Against the Dark Arts - who really wanted to study it, not the rubbish
Umbridge was teaching them - to defend themselves against the Dark Lord form a
group. They then chose Harry as their leader as he was the one who had any
experience of actually fighting the Dark.
They named themselves Dumbledore's
Army because that's what Fudge's greatest fear, Dumbledore making an army to
fight against him. And they were rebelling against the Ministry of Magic, so
that would have been the best name. And thus the D.A. was found and that was
where Harry and the others practiced Dark Arts, away from Umbridge.
