Rules and F.A.Q.
Welcome New Visitors and our old hands too! This page has been built to make
sure that you are familiar with each and every aspect of the site and that you
don't get lost in the site. This is the case with new visitors many Harry Potter
Fan sites. So, Here we provide you with a guide to our site.
As you can see on the
top left hand corner of every page of this site we have an "@" symbol,
this is from where you can contact us at any time. You can also use our contact
us page.
- Sorting Ceremony
- Why can I not post in
all Forums?
- Dumbledore's Army
- What have we got to do
as teacher and staff?
- Who should I ask for
help when..?
Many people have often asked us about what the
sorting is and what additional benefits do you get after getting sorted. All
such questions are answered here.
Well you can access all the content
and stuffs of the site listed on the "Apprition Centers" list without getting sorted. Some topics in
the forums are only registered users. After sorting you get access to our
Interactive Hogwarts. It has lessons, inter-house activities, a lot of new fun
stuff and lots more. Plus, you can join the D.A. only after getting sorted and
fufilling certain other conditions. For more info. on this read our Dumbledore's
Army section of this F.A.Q. To get sorted visit the Entrance
Hall. You also get the access to a lot of HP Clubs for eg. The Tea Leaves
Club for Divination etc. You can also suggest us for any clubs that wish to
see on this website. Also give us a little description of what the club would be
about, what will the students do in it etc and e-mail
it to me.
If you are new to the Forums and have not
registered with them, you will not be able to post in many of our interesting Forums,
however you will be able to read them. In order to post, you have to first register in
the forums. This can also happen if you have not logged into your account. Please
note that registering with the Forums is different to getting sorted.
To join the D.A., you should have a good
knowledge of Harry Potter Books and should know the lessons well. This is to
stop a large crowd of HP fans entering the D.A. This has also been done so that
we can know it for sure that all the members of the D.A. are dedicated HP fans,
who have time to learn what we teach and who enjoy enjoy Harry Potter as much as
we do.
Here are the requirements at a glance:
1. You should have a good knowledge about Harry
Potter Books.
2. You should score top grades in the lessons
which you access after getting sorted.
3. You should have been sorted.
4. You should be able to spend some time on the
site, attending Lessons, taking part in every D.A. Activity and Lesson and
completing it and sending us the results.
5. You should be a dedicated Harry potter Fan.
If you have these qualities, then we assure you
that you will have a ball with us. We will try to make the D.A. Activities as
interactive and as full of fun for you as possible.
Well I guess the Job Listings page explains it
all and it does explain it detail (you can see the length of the page). Any ways
for those of you who want to just get a brief idea of it and see if you want to
apply, here it goes:
As teacher, you'll have to make a web page which
looks nice (you just get some nice content and I'll help you with the layout
untill we both are pleased with it.). You will also have to be good at the
subject. This is because any work related to that subject shall be done by you.
For eg. any clubs which are related to your subject will be put under your
charge. If there is any doubt about a fact in that particular subject, you shall
be consulted. All this makes it a real Interactive school, where teachers and
students work hard in their fields to bring out the results.
Many times the visitors get into trouble and want
help. For most of the problems you can contact us using our Contact
Us page. But still here is the list of the persons you can contact and when:
Headmistress: For almost any problem that you
have and for which you can't find any other help.
Head of the Houses: If you don't understand
something about earning points or anything about the Common Room or if you have
to complain about some student of your house or another please contact your Head
of the House.
Teachers: Contact the teachers if you do not
understand anything about their subject or if you have a general doubt about
anything in that subject.
